Welcome to our Year 7 2024 families. The following documents are to inform you of all the information that you need before your daughter starts at Mount St Benedict College. Please note that some links will open as separate PDF documents. Please take the time to read and fill in all the relevant forms below, as this will make your daughter's transition to Mount St Benedict College much smoother.

Textbook orders need to be placed by Friday 8 December to ensure delivery prior to school starting. When asked for your daughter's email, please choose the 'not sure' option.

RESOURCE KITS

Mandatory Visual Arts Kit

  • To be purchased at the time of uniform fitting, via the College Uniform Shop.
  • Kits will be distributed to students, during their first Visual Arts class of the year.
  • Kits will then become available at the College Uniform Shop, for mid-year enrolments

Optional Stationery Kit

If you would like to order stationery in one convenient place, this is an optional method to do so. Please note: the specified calculator type and model is mandatory. You can source this calculator from any supplier, but please ensure it is this exact one: Casio fx-100AU PLUS
All stationery items must be purchased and ready for use before the first day of school.

LOCAL LIBRARY MEMBERSHIP
Click here to download Hornsby Shire Library Membership Application Form. Please click on print a membership form, complete this form and email it to BenniesLibrary@msb.nsw.edu.au.
All students are required to join Hornsby Library regardless of residential address.

GIFTED AND TALENTED STUDENTS
This information is used to create individual profiles and facilitate appropriate support for students with high potential.

Please note, majority of the activities will be open for registration in 2024. The only programs that require registration before the end of the year are listed below. To secure your child’s place in these programs, please click the following fact sheets and instructions for the registration process will be in each document.
Academy of Sport (Registrations close Monday 27 November 2023)

Please be aware that there are other programs running during the year, but we only need registrations for those activities listed above as they begin early in Term One, 2024. Further information will be sent out each term. IGSA Badminton and Tennis, and the AFL Independent Schools Competition are not open to Year 7 students in Term One.

UNIFORM EXCHANGE
If any of the garments you have purchased for your daughter need to be exchanged for a different size, please send an email with all details to Nikki, our College Shop Manager: college_shop@msb.nsw.edu.au.

SECOND HAND UNIFORM ITEMS

Second-hand uniform items are not handled via the College Shop but are readily available by visiting www.sustainableschoolshop.com.au where you can browse all items listed for Mount St Benedict College.

The Uniform Exchange in Pymble

The College Shop has now partnered with The Uniform Exchange in Pymble. The Uniform Exchange is a physical shop in Pymble where items can be bought and sold. Any bought items come with a 14-day return option.

If you are looking to purchase, we ask that you call before visiting to check their available uniforms.

Year 7 2024 First Day of School

The first day of school for Year 7 2024 Mount St Benedict College students is Wednesday 31 January.

Students should arrive at the Hildegard Centre Foyer between 8.00am and 8:15am. Parents are welcome to join their daughters in the Hildegard Centre before school and watch the Year 7 cohort depart on their Guard of Honour at 8.30am.

Parents will receive an email in late January confirming what students should bring on their first day.
